AMD Ryzen Pro Powers Two New Lenovo ThinkPad A Laptops

Looks like AMD is going for the business segment to bring its new Ryzen Pro chips into the zone. A couple of new Lenovo ThinkPad A laptops are incoming, powered by these new processors.

Ryzen has been tearing the charts on the desktop side for a few months now.

But the industry has been looking forward to what kind of an impact these new CPUs have on mobile devices like notebooks, ultrabooks, tablets and hybrids. At the very least, we should see these processors deliver more power at better prices compared to previous generations.

And the first such creations are here now.

Lenovo has provided details of these new laptops that are scheduled to mark the 25th anniversary of the iconic ThinkPad line. Both these A-series products are enterprise focused, and will be the first notebooks to feature these new processors from AMD.

Releasing on September 15, the ThinkPad A475 is the more powerful of the two new models.

It comes with a 14-inch display, AMD Bristol Ridge and up to 32GB DDR4 memory, along with mechanical docking ability. This machine also features a USB Type-C connection, along with and three USB Type-A ports.

Which brings us to the ThinkPad A275 that will go on sale at a lower price.

It sports a 12.5-inch display, but will be limited to 16GB of memory, and, as expected, will not feature a mechanical docking mechanism. Nevertheless, it still provides plenty of power for those that want mobility on the go.

We don’t have details on the pricing of these new machines just yet, but Lenovo has promised to reveal more information soon, along with more concrete release dates across the globe.
