Another popular Windows Phone game arrives on the Windows Store. Hangman HD is a popular Metro game that features a simple UI but offers a very engaging feature package.
Perhaps the biggest highlight of this game is a selection of multiple categories when it comes to the available word choices. Everything from basic to advanced English, world countries, foods, animals, body parts, famous people and movies, occupations, even video games are included.
The official description:
“Hangman is a classic word guessing game in which you try to guess letters in order to uncover a hidden word. You only have a few guesses before you are hanged as each incorrect letter draws out another part of your stick figure. This app has a very clean and user friendly interface that displays a custom keyboard allowing you to easily see which letters are still available for selection.”
The gameplay, as noted above is classic Hangman — no fancy bells and whistles here. The onscreen keyboard makes typing up the letters a breeze, and with hundreds of thousands of available words, there is rarely a dull moment for fans of the popular game.
This free game recently received an update that fixes bugs and improves performance. It is available on both Windows 8 and Windows RT.
