Now, that’s what I call progress! Microsoft has made available the first Windows 11 build in the Beta channel of the Windows Insider Program, and it’s a familiar one.

Yes, Windows 11 build 22000.100 is the one that has moved to this advanced ring.

The preview program for the new OS is still in its infancy. But this move signals that the operating system is gaining more and more stability. In fact, Microsoft now recommends Dev channel Insiders to switch to the Beta channel if they prefer to receive more stable builds going forward.

What I like to see.

Build 22000.100 has the same features, changes, improvements, and bug fixes that were previously shipped to the Dev channel last week. The sole exception is the new Teams for consumers app, which will not come to the Beta channel for a couple more weeks.

Nevertheless, Redmond recommends that Insiders enroll in the Beta channel to give the known issues in this version a scan.

This list has recently been updated following feedback that the company received from Insiders.

With the groundbreaking ceremony of the Beta channel now behind us, Insiders should receive less stable Windows 11 preview builds going forward in the Dev channel, albeit with more features. Beta channel folks should receive new bits less frequently.
