Cloud Cruiser For Windows Server 2012 R2 Brings Cloud Financial Management

Cloud Cruiser, the popular cloud financial management solution to cloud powered web hosts offering their services via Windows Azure, has announced integration with Windows Server 2012 R2.

The product is now available for the server platform via Windows Azure Pack.

Using it with the Azure pack, web hosts utilizing the Windows Azure platform can access advanced financial management features, chargeback, and other such cloud billing functions. And since it works directly from within the Azure portal, hosts get the ability to manage their costs from a central panel.

Along with cloud billing and chargeback, the solution allows cloud hosts to quickly see how profitable their cloud is — along with a quick glance at their top customers sorted by revenue.

The director of program management at Microsoft Cloud and Enterprise Division, Ryan O’Hara, said:

“With Windows Azure Pack, enterprises and hosters gain the powerful capabilities of the Windows Azure public cloud in their data center or a hosted cloud. Cloud Cruiser’s financial management solution gives customers insight into the transformative economics of Microsoft’s cloud technologies. With Microsoft and Cloud Cruiser customers can make real-time strategic business decisions that can drive greater efficiency and profitability.”

Nick van der Zweep, the VP of strategy for Cloud Cruiser was similarly buoyed:

“The inclusion of Cloud Cruiser with Windows Server is a clear signal from the largest software company in the world that financial management is integral to every cloud strategy. This relationship helps ensure that businesses can deliver innovative, scalable, and profitable cloud services.”
