expanding the Surface family of devices. Two years back there were even talks about a Surface branded laptop. But right now, the expansion is coming via the Surface Mini, which by most accounts is ready to be released next week, at a May 20 press event in New York. Which, by the way, you can live stream, as Microsoft confirmed late yesterday. However, it appears that the company might also be preparing a surprise or two. According to a new report, the technology titan may very well introduced a 12-inch Surface tablet. A move like this would basically expand the Surface family with as smaller unit, as well as a large one, provided the report holds true. It comes via an analyst over at IHS Technology, who believes that such a tablet could initially only be made available in the United States, exclusively, and in limited quantities. This is what Rhoda Alexander, the head of monitor and tablet research at IHS Technology said: “There are strong indications that there is a 12-inch product coming down the pipeline.” Additionally, the analyst also mentioned that the Surface Mini is likely to come with a 7.5-inch display, and not a full 8-inch one, as a few sources have predicted. Strong claims, exciting claims. We will just have to wait till May 20 to find out, I guess.]]>

Great. Bigger and smaller are better?
So they’re planning more sizes, which should be a good thing. I’m not that into bigger tablets, but I’m sure there’s a market for that, especially if there are people using it for a substitute of a laptop.
7.5″? I hope MS doesn’t make that silly mistake. 8″ is already small but manageable anything less is…
That’s true. I do this 8′ is about as small as you can get before it’s just better to get a phone! Lol 😉
