ISO images
An ISO image must be converted into installation media stored on a DVD or a USB flash drive. Instructions are provided on this page. Developer tools are available for download from Windows Dev Center.
Important: If you decide to go back to your previous operating system, you’ll need to reinstall it from the recovery or installation media that came with your PC, which is typically DVD media.
If you don’t have recovery media, you might be able to create it from a recovery partition on your PC using software provided by your PC manufacturer. Check the support section of your PC manufacturer’s website for more information.
After you install Windows 8, you won’t be able to use the recovery partition on your PC to go back to your previous version of Windows.
Thanks a million!!!!!!!!
Great
Can Windows 8 handle 3TB drive? or still 2TB limitation?
It does not depend on Windows, rather on what type of partitions you have. With UEFI motherboards you can create GPT partitions that handle well above 3TB
Downloading as we speak!
downloaded it and wish it saves all of my apps on metro but sadly does not.
Zeke, would you please send me a copy of the compressed Win* Release Preview to my email address.I would appreciate so much. Send to rabutomoga@gmail.com
Dear Onuora,
Today, Friday June 1, 2012 at 15.45 local time in the place where I stay, I started downloading your fresh copy of Windows Release Preview hoping to understand more of the computer knowledge sent from your country.
Honestly saying, that I’ve learned much of the computer know-how from Microsoft especially Windows, which until now I’ve no difficulty in maintaining the machine. Starting from Windows XP SP2 until Windows Developer Preview. Most of them had been touched and had given me good understanding ever since. The difficulties lies and made me stop moving forward in learning, when I try to install Windows Consumer Preview and until now it’s impossible to run on my dell inspiron 8600 machine. I’ve try to install it in many ways but all invain due to my dell inspiron 8600 machine don’t meet some of the system spesification requirements by the Windows Software. I’ve no argue on the Windows Software that was carefully build for the users and I’ve found the problem of the low speed internet connection and a low of Random Access Memory (RAM) planted on the machine.
It was said that, this Windows Release Preview was much like Windows Consumer Preview, I’m still downloading it for the series of my Windows collection sent by the kindness of Mr. Onuora and keep it in the safe place for future use.
Thank you.
