red hot deal that I myself just took advantage of at the Microsoft store. Microsoft are selling the EXOPC Windows 7 Slate at the Microsoft Store at a …wait for it…300 dollar discount! It’s down from $699 to $399. I just bought one myself and will be upgrading it to Windows 8 when the Windows 8 Beta comes out in February. This model has:

  • An multi-touch display
  • 2 GB of RAM allows for smooth multitasking
  • 1.3-megapixel webcam
  • Wireless 802.11b/g/n connectivity
  • A Mini-HDMI port which will let you project high-def content onto your big-screen TV
  • An energy-efficient Intel Atom Pineview processor designed for longer battery life
  • 1080P video resolution
More importantly for me, it has the 1366 x 768 resolution that the Samsung Slates have. You can get it here [caption id="attachment_11228" align="alignnone" width="590"] Exopc Slate[/caption] Those were the ones that Microsoft gave out at the BUILD conference. Those tablets are between $1000 to $1500! I have an Ipad 2 but I am getting this because it’s a cheap way to try out Windows 8 this February. I’ll be using it to review the features of Windows 8 Beta on the site in February. I’m told the price is going to go back up very soon so I would buy it as soon as you can.
