As promised. Forza Horizon 4 is the latest Microsoft title to make the transition to rival gaming platform Steam. The racing game originally launched on Xbox One and Windows via the Microsoft Store in 2018.
And was a certified hit.
The game needs no introduction, over 12 million players have had a taste of it.
Developer Playground Games have set this latest installment of the open-world racing series in the United Kingdom, with a lot of the races taking place on the countryside.
This is the first time that a game from the Forza franchise has appeared on Steam, the PC store owned by Valve. Three versions of the game are available, with digital bundles of the Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, and the Ultimate Edition retailing for $59.99, $79.99, and $99.99 respectively.
Pretty penny to ask for an old game, but then again, the Horizon series has no equal.
Like most other Xbox Game Studios developed games that launch on Steam, Forza Horizon 4 supports full cross-play with players on the Xbox ecosystem — Microsoft Store PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, and mobile cloud play.
Millions of racers play the game monthly, according to Playground Games, who have also devised a handy welcome guide for new players as this is the first Forza game to enter Steam.
