Fujitsu is all set to make cloud adoption easier by announcing PRIMEFLEX for Microsoft Azure Stack, a solution that extends the benefits of Azure to on-premises datacenters while also streamlining the migration of workloads.

These are, essentially, new options that harmonize workloads between cloud and on-premises servers, ideal for enterprises that want to take full advantage of the cloud but at the same time keeping some mission critical IT under their own roof.

For data sovereignty, compliance or connectivity requirements.

This newest addition from the company offers cloud like economics for on-premises systems, including flexible licensing options and pricing models based on either consumption or capacity, very much what you get with public clouds like Azure and AWS.

According to Fujitsu, PRIMEFLEX for Microsoft Azure Stack bring the cloud back home, allowing organizations to run infrastructures with maximum agility and efficiency, and speed up the development of new applications.

Olivier Delachapelle, Head of Data Center Category Management at Fujitsu EMEIA:

“Digital transformation is leading to increasingly complex hybrid IT infrastructures, as IT teams try to deliver against the flexibility, security and performance requirements of new applications. We developed PRIMEFLEX for Microsoft Azure Stack to ensure consistency and fluidity between workloads operating on-premises and in the cloud on Azure.

This is perfect for organizations that are taking their first steps into the cloud, as well as those that want cloud-like benefits in terms of control, performance, agility and availability, but need to keep selected workloads on-premises due to legislative or latency issues.”

The solution is fully tested and delivered on a high-performance and energy-efficient PRIMERGY server platform for Microsoft Hyper-V cluster environments, delivering powerful virtualization performance and economical, energy-efficient operation.

In addition to that, Fujitsu Software Infrastructure Manager (ISM) is at hand to truly simplify the management of the infrastructure. The solution provides all the necessary functionality for fail-safe, flexible and automated operation.

Optionally, organizations can also outsource infrastructure operations to Fujitsu via a managed services or hosting agreement.
