The first Halo launch from the Halo: The Master Chief Collection is here. Halo 3: ODST is now available, coincidentally on the same day that the original version launched back on September 22, 2009.
Feels like an age ago.
This very unique package in the game series comes with a lot of new elements.
You have a full campaign that takes players to New Mombasa prior to the events of Halo 3. And while a dedicated multiplayer portion is missing, developer 343 Industries has brought back the original Firefight mode that was missing from the Master Chief Collection releases even on consoles.
It also lands on the Xbox One version of Halo 3: ODST via an update today.
Before we get down to the details of all that is new in this release for PC players, let’s take a look at the trailer for the game.
The PC version of the game comes included with an array of the usual Halo: The Master Chief Collection enhancements. You know, features like an uncapped frame rate, 4K resolution support, FOV sliders, customizable controls, and more.
No better time than now to dive back into the universe!
You can get your hands on the Halo: The Master Chief Collection either on the Microsoft Store or Steam, with a $39.99. Or gain access to the game separately for $4.99. It is also available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers now.
