Left or right, that be the question! In Windows, you can easily select the primary mouse button of your mouse to be either left or right. The primary button is used for functions like selecting and dragging.
Highly important functions, in other words.
This can be changed from either the Settings app, or the Mouse panel in the traditional operating system, and is practically a matter of just making your selection from a dropdown menu or selecting a checkbox.
Here’s how you go about it.
In Settings.
1. Open Settings.
2. Click or tap on Devices, and then select Mouse from the left side of this panel. In the right, use the dropdown to make your selection under the Select your primary button section.
In the Control Panel.
1. Open the Control Panel.
2. Make sure you are in the Icons view, and then open Mouse.
3. In the Buttons tab, check or uncheck the Switch primary and secondary buttons box for what you want, and then close the panel. Do keep in mind that these settings vary on some devices, depending on the mouse and touchpad drivers, but the Button configuration section is easy to spot.
