HP Reportedly Preparing A Bay Trail 4G Tablet For Business Users

HP has deep roots in the business and enterprise sector, and launches new models for professional users round the year. It recently unveiled a bunch of business notebooks and hybrids in its EliteBook and ProBook range.

But professional tablets are one area where the hardware giant is yet to really impress.

All that could soon change as word is that HP may soon have a feature-rich business tablet to show off. This new report from a Dutch website claims that the computer maker is working on a new slate in its ElitePad family of devices, aimed squarely at enterprises.

The ElitePad 900 is already available in the market, but the upcoming ElitePad 1000 G2 has been traced in the FCC database. And the company seems to have decided to go with Intel Bay Trail processors.

Tests conducted by the aforementioned government agency show that the ElitePad 1000 G2 will offer 4G connectivity along with Bluetooth and NFC.

Word is that HP will be looking at upping the ante in the processor and display department, while throwing in the standard 2GB of RAM and internal storage choices of either 32GB or 64GB. An increase in resolution is also expected.

More details about the device should start to float up soon.
