Intel CPU Roadmap Leaked, Broadwell And Skylake Coming In 2015

leaked roadmap, however, confirms that the Broadwell processors are now delayed to the first quarter of 2015. From first half of 2014, to late this year — it seems that we will have to wait a while to get our hands on these new generation chips. intel_platform_roadmap Interestingly, this means that the gap between the release of Broadwell processors and the launch of their successors, Skylake, will be rather short. Separated by a few months, maybe? Harmful for business? Perhaps. But on the flipside, several manufactures would be keen to showcase their new devices powered by these Broadwell processors, and the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2015) in January is a sure bet for our first look at these new laptop, tablets and hybrids. What remains to be seen is when Microsoft refreshes its tablet lineup with these Broadwell chips. The Surface Pro 3 is just making its way to the market, and if this roadmap holds true, it could mean that we might only be getting the Surface 3 and a Surface Mini later this year. A full refresh of the Surface Pro lineup could, then, be reserved for early 2015.]]>
