Experis is partnered with a global pet care company in their search for an Azure Data Architect to join their team in Arlington, VA to develop complete analytical solutions, mine extensive data sets for insights, build scalable data products, and enable the overall Data Science capability. This role may come from a highly specialized background such as natural language processing, machine learning, deep learning, or operations research, using Cortana Suite including Azure, R and other tools. This candidate will be supporting the Advanced Analytics business areas including sales, trade, customer service, and logistics. This position will play a key role between the reporting teams, business areas, and Nestle technology teams to enhance the advanced analytics experience for users.

Candidates must be azure certified!! This team is responsible for setting up all data indigestion and transformation rules so the business can perform modeling on top of it. They require a Developer or Data Architect who can mine data sets, build data products and enable all data science capabilities. SQL experience is a plus. Candidates must be familiar with the technology but not be a Data Scientist. They must understand Python and R, but will not perform any programming. PowerBI technology is also highly preferred


Experience with Microsoft BI technologies is highly preferred
Knowledge of BI tools like Power BI, Tableau and advanced analytic tools (e.g. SAS and R)
Deploy advanced business intelligence solutions for management reporting, business data analysis, and mobile device report delivery
Experience integrating new technologies (e.g., Hadoop)
Azure knowledge or experience is required
Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Big Data platforms using Cloud architecture with structured and unstructured data sources
Comfortable working with ambiguity (e.g. imperfect data, loosely defined concepts, ideas, or goals) and translating these into more tangible outputs
Ability to manage multiple tasks and requests
Ability to react positively under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Good inter-personal skills combined with willingness to listen
Structured, disciplined approach to work, with attention to detail
Flexible able to meet changing requirements and priorities
Maintenance of up-to-date knowledge in the appropriate technical areas
Able to work in a global, multicultural environment


Bachelors degree in computers or systems related field and 4+ years systems experience
Microsoft Azure Certified (Data Architect, Data Bricks, Data Factory)


Strong analytical skills in problem solving, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) across multiple teams, facilitate meetings, and coordinate activities
Required strong experience in developing in advanced analytics tools
Experience with Power BI, Azure and Microsoft Analytics tools
Knowledge of database models, SQL query, and data analysis
Preferred software experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, MS Office, MS Project, and Visio
