Microsoft Edge Just Got Richer With Two New Extensions

They arrived quietly, but Microsoft Edge now has two solid new extensions to its name, with the total count now nearing 50. Still a long way to go, but users are sure to love these new arrivals.

Mailtrack for Gmail & Inbox, and Advance Password Manager.

Both are utility additions to the browser, that is now finding it hard to capture mind and market share, in what is its third year on the market. The latest numbers put the Edge market share at under 6% mark, and with Internet Explorer also winding down, Microsoft seems to be losing a lot.

Anyway, back to these new extensions.

The first of these is designed to help Gmail users keep track of sent email, and tell them when recipients read them, and on which type of device. It’s a solid addition to the Edge ecosystem, and is sure to be appreciated by the user base.

Which brings us to the next one, a password management tool that can autofill usernames and passwords on the web. Again, a very useful arrival.

Both these new extensions are available for free on the Windows Store, though for now, they are not showing up in the list of Edge extensions that Microsoft has put up. They can be located via search results, though.

In time.
