There’s a bit of a gold rush going on, you may have noticed. And the gold plated Lumia 930 and Lumia 830 are proof of that. These exquisite Lumia handsets are limited edition, of course.
And available in select regions, not worldwide.
The Lumia 930 and Lumia 830 Gold Editions come with the exact same specifications as the original models, so nothing changes there. But they do have a premium gold finish that makes them a bit more appealing to the eyes.
Subjectively, of course, not everyone is into gold in this fashion.
But if you are, Microsoft has got you covered with black and white models, with sales beginning soon in Europe, Asia Pacific, China, India, the Middle East and Africa — only the two American continents seem to miss out on this.
Pricing will vary based on country and operators, though Microsoft confirms that it will not be too different from the original models.
Just a quick refresher on specifications, then.
Both device come powered by Windows Phone 8.1, with the Lumia 930 offers a 5-inch display with 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. The Lumia 830 is not too far off with 16GB of space, 1GB RAM in the same 5-inch package.
Camera options include a 20 megapixel shooter on the Lumia 930, and the Lumia 830 has to make do with a 10 megapixel imaging setup.
