The technology titan had offered this new promotion in several of the new markets where its tablets have recent made their debut, and it was about time it came to North America too.
Microsoft has just announced that the US and Canadian customers that buy a Surface RT tablet would be provided with a free Touch or Type cover.
This new promotion begins today and will be available for a limited time, the company said in a post on one of its blog. Here it is straight from the proverbial horse’s mouth:
“We are excited to announce a special offer for those of you in Canada and the United States. For a limited time beginning May 31st, receive a free Touch Cover, Touch Cover Limited Edition, or Type Cover with the purchase of a Surface RT.”
Sounds pretty exciting and makes total sense actually — the company would want to clear its back long inventory to make room for the new smaller Surface slates that are said to make their debut in the months to come.
The technology titan is currently busy launching the Surface RT and Pro in some other countries around the world, with the goal of expanding international availability of the two models ahead of the public debut of the next generation Surface tablets.
