Some say, one can never have enough themes and wallpapers to customize a PC. Microsoft seems to agree, as the company is here with new Widows 10 themes, and by extension, wallpapers.
These new packs allow users of the OS to customize their desktops with a choice of several HD backgrounds.
And since Redmond is keen on making the Microsoft Store the one destination for pretty much everything Windows 10, the company has made these packs available there — to sit snuggly alongside apps and games, music and movies, books and extension for the Edge web browser.
There different themes are up for grabs for the latest operating system, with 14 and 18 images included.
These are called Coffee Art, Animals of Yellowstone and Amazon Rainforest.
Nice selection.
Although these are offered as themes, they are basically wallpaper packages that replace your desktop background without any major customization options. However, since they are official releases, fans and enthusiasts should enjoy grabbing and installing them.
Speaking of which, the process of installing and enabling a new theme in Windows 10 is a piece of cake.
Simply download a new theme from the Microsoft Store, then head over to the special panel available over at Settings > Personalization > Themes to get going. The new wallpapers are set automatically.
These themes, obviously, are free to use, and only require Windows 10 version 14951.0 or newer. They can also be installed on devices running either Windows 10 or Windows 10 S, meaning owners of the recently launched Always Connected PCs can also give them a try.
