Microsoft Rolls Out An Amazing December Deal, Is Offering $25 Gift Card To Buyers

It goes without saying that the timeframe between November and December is vitally important for Microsoft. The same can be said for most companies, sure, but the holiday shopping season is the real deal for the Windows platform.

And speaking of deals, Microsoft has just launched a really exciting one.

The company has announced that it will be offering $25 Windows Store gift cards to everyone who purchases a touch PC or tablet running Windows 8 or Windows 8.1.

Microsoft kicked off this special promotion, saying:

“To celebrate apps this season, when you buy a new touch PC or tablet running Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 at a participating U.S. retailer you’ll receive a promotional $25 Windows Store gift card to purchase your favorite apps and games in the Windows Store.”

Participating retailers include Amazon, Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max, Staples, Walmart and, obviously, Microsoft Stores. This new promotion is exclusive to the United States, by the way, and runs through December 28.

In any case, this promotion is a great way to not only entice buyers to choose between the various Windows powered devices, it should also help complete the experience.

The Windows Store gift cards were officially introduced along with Windows 8.1 back in October, and provide users with an alternative way to buy paid apps in the store. These gift cards are redeemed by entering the code in the payment options screen.
