uploaded directly to Microsoft servers right before the planned rollout of this month’s Update Tuesday cycle. Attempts to access them results in an error in the browser that states “The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.” All said and done, the company is probably investigation these reported issues that have resulted in some users experiencing black screen at boot, with their PCs failing to boot into the operating system. Anyway, here are the four updates that are no longer available for download:

2982791 MS14-045: Description of the security update for kernel-mode drivers: August 12, 2014 2970228 Update to support the new currency symbol for the Russian ruble in Windows 2975719 August 2014 update rollup for Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 2975331 August 2014 update rollup for Windows RT, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2012
And just for the record, Microsoft also asks users that have already installed these updates and are experiencing issues to uninstall these patches from the Control Panel > Programs and Features > View installed updates section — KB2982791, KB2970228, KB2975719, and KB2975331. Always better to be on the safe side!]]>
