Nokia Drive+ comes to non-Nokia Windows Phone 8 Devices

When it comes to turn-by-turn navigation in Windows Phone, it pays to be a Nokia user. Up until now, the only free solution was that provided with Nokia handsets. The good news is that is all finally starting to change.

Nokia Drive+ is now out for all Windows Phone 8 handsets in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada. That means regardless of the brand, you can get in on the turn-by-turn action.

Here’s what Microsoft’s Michael Stroh had to say about the release:

The app remains in beta as the team fine tunes the customer experience. In the meantime, you can access full turn-by-turn voice-guided navigation, offline maps, speed limit warnings, and conveniences such as day and night modes.
