Nokia Issues Charger Warning For The Lumia 2520 Tablet

here, saying that owners of the UK and European variant of the AC-300 charger that is used in the Lumia 2520 tablet should stop using their chargers immediately. Customers in Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom are primarily affected by this advisory, with 30,000 chargers in total. Out of these 600 were sold in the United States, though oddly enough, Nokia has not stopped sales in the US. Problem lies in the fact that the plastic cover of the exchangeable plug on the charger, in certain conditions, comes loose and separates. What these certain conditions are, is not exactly clarified. This exposes certain components that may cause — you guessed it — electric shock. Anyway, this particular charger has been designed by a third-party manufacturer to be used exclusively with the Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet. We just might hear more on this in the coming days and weeks.]]>
