Nokia Lumia 1520 Available For Preorder At Microsoft Store For $199

The large 6-inch phablet from the Finnish telecom giant will soon be flying off the shelves in a week or so. Microsoft has just kicked off the preorder campaign for the Lumia 1520 on its official Store website.

Obviously, only the AT&T version is up for preorder in the United States.

But the good news is that the pricing options are absolute great this time around — compared to say the Lumia 1020, which launched at a higher price. This phablet, however, is available for as low as $199 with a new two-year contract. Color options include black, white, yellow, and red.

You can place your preorder for the device here at this link.

However, those that want to grab the handset outright can also do for $550, which is again, a great price, when you consider that it has been priced at €730 in Europe, which translates to $985.

In any case, a pretty splendid deal for users that like large screen handsets.

Microsoft does mention that the release date of the Nokia Lumia 1520 is November 15, and customers that preorder the smartphone will start getting it by the middle of the month.

The only little downer is the fact that unlike the European model that features 32GB of internal memory and microSD card for expansion, the US Lumia 1520 packs only 16GB — without a microSD card slot.

Still the device has enough going for it in terms of hardware, and is a pretty much a complete package.
