Nokia Lumia 2520 To Be Exclusively Available In The UK Via John Lewis

Nokia’s first ever tablet, the Lumia 2520 is slowly starting its world tour. Currently available in a select few countries like Finland, Russia and the US, the Windows RT powered slate is now headed for the UK.

British fans that have been waiting to get their hands on the slate can do so just in time for Christmas.

The Lumia 2520 lands in the UK on December 4, though for better or for worse, it comes with exclusivity. John Lewis has just made things official, announcing that it will make the device available in store locations as well as online in the United Kingdom:

The press release is all praise for the deluxe device:

“We’re excited to announce the launch of the Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet exclusive to John Lewis. We have seen a continuous demand for tablets, selling one every 15 seconds, and we think the addition of this tablet to our range will appeal to customers looking to do more than surf the web.

It comes with the Microsoft Windows 8 operating system and Microsoft Office is pre-installed, making it ideal for consumers who use Excel, Word, PowerPoint or Outlook. It also is 4G enabled so customers can use super-fast mobile broadband to stay connected.”

Right then, there you have it.

If you are in the UK, you can grab your Lumia 2520 in either Gloss Red or Silk Black for £400 (which translates to $654 or €480). And since this is an exclusive deal, buyers in the country will not have access to any carrier subsidies, for now.

Oh, and the Nokia Lumia Power Keyboard is also available. Reserve another £150 ($245 or €180) for it.
