Nokia Lumia 520 Now Available Prepaid At AT&T

The affordably popular Nokia Lumia 520 has been tearing up the sales charts all over the world, and earlier this week, wireless carrier AT&T also officially announced the availability of the budget smartphone on its GoPhone lineup.

The expected launch date is July 26, but the device is already listed on the company’s website, from where it can also be ordered.

This makes it the first Windows Phone 8 handset to be added in the carrier’s aforementioned prepaid series. The Lumia 520 is carrying a price tag of $99 outright and contract-free. As AT&T notes:

“The Nokia Lumia 520 GoPhone gives you experiences available only on a Lumia in a fun, affordable package. Innovations include the Windows Phone 8 operating system, a superior camera, and a super-sensitive 4” touchscreen that you can use even with long fingernails or gloves.”

Nokia actually launched this smartphone as its most affordable offering in the Windows Phone 8 family. The smartphone provides users with plenty of appealing features and capabilities — though it cannot support some applications owing to its limited onboard memory of 512MB.

The Nokia Lumia 520 arrives on the store shelves with a 4-inch touchscreen display and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor. It boasts 8GB of internal memory, backed up with a microSD card slot for expansion purposes. A 5 megapixel camera sits at the back offering video recording capabilities.
