Panasonic Will Release Its 20 Inch 4K Windows 8 Tablet Soon

Panasonic made quite an impression with its 20 inch Windows 8 tablet back in January this year. The 4K slate was enough to make people stop and notice at the CES, where it was first announced.

Along with the glorious screen size, the deluxe tablet is said to sport a majestic resolution of 3840 by 2560 pixels, which actually makes it a tad higher than the 4K standard resolution of 3840 by 2160. All said and done, mobile tablet computing does not get any better than this right now.

So what’s the problem, you ask?

Well, months after announcement, the tablet is nowhere to be seen expect official hands. But luckily these official hands recently showed off the slate again. Panasonic displayed the tablet as part of its IFA conference in Berlin.

And the best part, CNet says is that the product is supposed to be released in Europe, according to statements from Panasonic. Hey, it’s a start — the device may yet hit North America and other parts of the globe in due time.

Having said that, there are still several things we do not know about the tablet, starting with its name, first of all. No idea of what the hardware that powers it either. Same goes for the price, which probably will be as deluxe as the screen of this tablet.

Oh, and that is not even talking about the battery life — here’s hoping that it is not in minutes!

It may quite be possible that Panasonic wanted to wait for the release of Windows 8.1 before unleashing this sleek gadget. Microsoft’s upcoming operating system does include much enhanced support for extreme resolutions, after all.
