PCPro the UK website just put out a fantastic list of their suggestions for improvements that Microsoft could make for Windows 8.
Here are the ones I agree with:
Early warning system
Since Vista, Windows has had a little-known system-monitoring tool built in (just type Reliability Monitor into the search bar on the Start menu), although it’s only really useful as a retrospective tool for spotting system weaknesses.
What we really want is an early warning system that can predict when the computer looks likely to fail, by monitoring the heat and stability of the key components.
That would really be helpful but I could swear that Microsoft already put that in Windows.
I have received Windows messages indicating that my hard drive was on the verge of failure before.
What do you guys think?
