Taipei, Taiwan, March 6, 2013 – QNAP® , Inc. today announced highly anticipated business features, including VMware VAAI and vSphere Client Plug-in for business virtualization enhancement, the official certification for Windows® Server 2012, and AFP performance enhancement on small file transfer.
The support of VMware VAAI, featuring Full copy, Block zeroing and Hardware-assisted locking, enables data processing offloaded to the Turbo NAS to increase work efficiency. The support of vSphere Client Plug-in allows managing VMware datastores on the Turbo NAS directly from the vSphere Client console, greatly improving productivity of management of multiple virtual machines. “With these supports, the Turbo NAS becomes a more effective storage in virtualization solution and excels in increasing productivity on managing a great number of virtual machines for IT staffs,” said Jérôme Jaussaud, product manager of QNAP. VMware VAAI and vSphere Client Plug-in are supported by TS-x79, TS-x70, and TS-x69 series.
Besides, the selected Turbo NAS series are officially certified for Windows Server 2012, including TS-x79, TS-x70, and TS-x69 series.
