Specs Leak For Verizon’s Upcoming Samsung ATIV Odyssey

While a few international locations have now seen the Samsung Windows Phone 8 devices, we still haven’t seen them in the United States just yet. One of the carriers said to be getting a Windows Phone 8 Samsung device is Verizon.

Verizon is said to be getting its own special version, the Samsung ATIV Odyssey instead of the existing Samsung ATIV S that many European markets have already seen.

This phone isn’t said to be a high-end device, instead targeting mid-range customers. Based on newly leaked specifications we now know what to expect.

The phone has a dual-core MSM8960 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5MP camera and a 4-inch WVGA display. It also has a removable 2,200 mAh battery, 8GB of internal storage, microSD and is jusdt 10.9mm thick design. Looking closely at these specs, we see that the phone is somewhere in the same league as the Nokia Lumia 822.

The big question is WHEN is this finally coming? We still don’t have word. The good news is that leaked specs seem to indicate it is coming soon, and earlier we heard it would arrive sometime in early 2013.

More than likely, Samsung will showcase the device at CES next week and release it shortly thereafter. Are you excited for Samsung’s entry into the Windows Phone 8 world or would you rather stick with HTC or Nokia instead?
