accessory has finally made its debut, and you can now be yours for the sweet, sweet price of $199. Totally worth it, I say. In actuality, the docking station takes your Surface Pro 3 above and beyond a simple tablet — it can not only replace your laptop, but also act as a replacement of your desktop. It adds new functionality and options to this premium slate. The docking station comes with three USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, one Gigabit Ethernet port, one 3.5mm audio input/output connection and a Mini DisplayPort. That is, in addition to a security lock slot. The design even allows users to access the Mini DisplayPort and USB 3.0 even when docked. Powerful and robust as it is, it does not come cheap. Expect to spend close to a couple of hundred bucks for this accessory, which will be totally worth it for users that want (and appreciate) this added functionality. The device was put up for preorder in late July, by the way. Currently only available in the United States and Canada, Microsoft says that other markets will get it in the near future.]]>
I have a docking station at work. I really enjoy it and think it is worth it for my situation. However, I think $199 is a little steep for a tablet docking station. I think $100 would be more suitable.
“Finally” I don’t think that word means what you think it means.
