The Next HTC Windows Phone Flagship To Be Called HTC One W8

invites to a press event in New York City on August 19. Chances are, it is wholly about Windows Phone. And now some new details have popped up regarding this Windows Phone variant of the HTC One M8. It appears that the phone will not be called HTC One (M8) for Windows Phone as some believed. Instead, the company is sticking with the HTC One W8 name for this set. Powered by Windows Phone 8.1, this smartphone will hit store shelves next month with almost the same hardware specifications of the popular Android flagship — including the all metal body design that has won a fair few plaudits. A 5-inch display capable of delivering a full HD resolution is expected, to go with the 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor. The CPU is said to be accompanied by 2GB of RAM. Internal memory comes in at either 16GB or 32GB, but can be extended via the microSD card option that can take up capacities of up to 128GB. Needless to say, you will never run out of storage. The smartphone comes in three colors, Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver, and Amber Gold, and reportedly weighs in 160 grams. It also makes use of the new Voice over LTE (VoLTE) capabilities of Verizon. All combined it should make for a very exciting addition to the Windows Pone family. Excited? Do comment.]]>
