Error of the Week
Mistakes can happen, even as glaringly unbelievable as this one. Microsoft updated one of its support pages, and mentioned something about a Surface Pro 3. With the Surface Mini event on the horizon, some thought the third generation tablet was due for arrival. Luckily, the company confirmed the error.
Technology of the Week
While many opine that it is the hardware that makes the software, fact is that there are no limits on what quality code can accomplish. Take this extraordinary
virtualization technology that allows native running Apple iOS apps on Android hardware. Extraordinary and amazing.
Redesign of the Week
Although scheduled to arrive alongside Windows 8.1 Update last month, Microsoft, for some reason delayed the rollout of the
redesign of the Windows Store. It went live with this month’s Patch Tuesday updates, and it is a sight for sore eyes. Well done, indeed.
Move of the Week
The Chinese government has been trying this for at least a year now, but the drive to move the country onto a Linux based operating system instead of Windows XP was in full flow this week. Several government official tried to
convince Windows users to move to Linux. On national TV.
Milestone of the Week
Things may have dropped a gear on the Windows Store, but on the flipside the quality of apps has increased manifolds. Microsoft’s flagship apps repository crossed the important and uplifting
milestone of 160,000 applications. Another 40,000 by the end of the year would be grand.]]>
