Redmond may have had a few hiccups along the way with the release of Windows 8 and Surface tablets, owing to a few different factors, but one product (or service, for that matter) that has been sailing smooth is Office 365. It just celebrated the milestone of one million subscribers. Instantaneous!

Perspective of the Week

Former Windows chief Steven Sinofsky poured a lot of heart into developing Windows 8. The executive left Microsoft soon after the release of its latest operating system, but shared his thoughts on the new platform, saying that he is quite happy with how sales are coming along. Inspiring!

Rumor of the Week

There is a new Superman movie about to hit theaters in a couple of weeks, titled Man of Steel. And just like Nokia released a special Batman edition Lumia smartphone, word is that it may be gearing up to release something similar for the Last Son of Krypton. Intriguing!

Analysis of the Week

In a report that will raise an eyebrow or two, a key analyst suggests that Redmond would be better off to sell its Bing and Xbox unit to other large technology companies. This way Microsoft could potentially maximize its earnings potential. Interesting!

Strategy of the Week

Microsoft has employed some creative new strategies to promote Windows 8 and Surface tablets. And with the debut of the slates in the United Kingdom, the technology titan is taking to the airports to demonstrate the power and functionality of the Surface tablets to travelers. Ingenious!
