What do you think about Windows 11? This is the question we are asking.
Microsoft has announced plans to roll out this new Operating System, and at this point, you have probably seen some of the refreshed UI, centered taskbar, and all the other new enhancements that we are planning.
But ultimately, this will be about you.
Some of you have expressed outrage about Windows 10 not being the final version, and some of you are just excited that after several years, you’re getting a “new Windows”.
We’re curious about how you feel.
Feel free to be as candid as you want, we can take it (and we’re NOT Microsoft).
So tell us in the comments below, what do you think about Windows 11?
All Comments
This will be interesting because we’ve seen a whole lot of mixed feedback about this Operating System.
Resource waste, it can not run on existing computer.
What computer do you have?
I have had to remove it sadly, twice I tried it, got it all running fine and then after a few days it would ramp up my CPU and heat at idle, nothing running in the background that wasn’t running on Windows 10.
I am now back to Win 10 and all running fine, 9 5950X 1720MHz 32c at idle, on Win 11 3340MHz up to 4910MHz and heat up and down from 55c to 90c, no rhyme or reason whatsoever
I do hope once it is finalised and released generally these issues are fixed
Ryzen 9 5950X
RX 6800 XT
32GB DDR4 3200MHz
This is a common sentiment from a lot of readers.
I hope that AMD get it sorted, it can only be from their end, but who knows, I have my PC in the living room of my home and when not doing anything on it it is really quiet, but with Win 11 installed it was really loud, as if I were playing games all the time
That’s interesting. It’s something they will probably fix before launch in the fall.
I’m running AMD’s 5950X and have no issues with CPU. Just minor bugs.
Awesome!
Wish mine was running normally, sadly it just won’t run steady like on Win 10, it does at first for a few days, then just ramps up, like I say with nothing different than I had installed on Win 10, I am back to Win 10 now and it is sat at a steady 1720MHz on idle (AIDA64) but if it were Win 11 it would be between 3440MHz and 4900MHz
It’s look’s like a New PC in order to use Windows 11, at least for me and my computer isn’t that old.
They will probably figure all that stuff out soon. It’ll hopefully be ready in October.
I will not use Windows 11. Later I will migrate to Linux. I had enough.
What was the last straw?
I have using Windows 11 for 5 days aprox, seems to be fine, I have it installed in an other Hard Disk only for it, is working good so far, the only thing is that I am not using the “TPM” version, I don’t like that, (personal opinion) for the rest runs smooth, Only 4GB RAM, Intel® Coreâ„¢2 Duo and 64 GB Hard Drive, I insist about th TPM, I want my privacy “mine”
No overheating or processor strain?
Nop, working as a charm, video resolution, audio, internet speed, everything working smooth like I said earlier
I operate a small nonprofit business refurbishing older desktops and donating them to needy causes. The cost of upgrading all my hardware to accommodate Windows 11 TPM and Safe Boot is too prohibitive for my business. I will be looking at alternate operating systems that support legacy systems.
BTW I am a Windows Insider my main desktop is an ASUS 970 Pro motherboard with AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core processor, 16GB DDR3 running Windows 11 Pro V21H2 Build 22000.100 Windows Feature Pack 421.18901.0.3 and Windows 11 runs with no glitches.
Thanks for the comment.
So far so good. I am happy with the new layout. I did not face any issues using the Windows 11 so far.
Thanks for the comment.
Seems like a ploy to sell more PCs. They could easily make Win 11 run on Win 10 PCs.
That is a valid point. TBD if there are any new features that really tax the hardware of a computer more than Windows 10 did.
Yeah I bet you are right about that!
Looking forward to it. Love the new design and new features.
Awesome to hear!
Hello, First Impression: First installation (24.06.2021) problem with Secure boot and TPM 2.0. When I installed work perfect 3 day, and the next day when I started computer Windows did not want to start then I restarted it using POWER BUTTON. And what happened he started and after logging in he automatically reset and restarted. That’s how I watched my hope of having him fail.
I thought it was the BIOS and I worked with it a bit. I went to the manufacturer and requested a BIOS patch. I got it and reinstalled it while making a copy of the BIOS. when i did that i tried to install WINDOWS 11, i couldn’t.
Eventually I formatted my hard drive (my stupid mistake) and installed Windows 10.
I was deeply disappointed. and I didn’t open the computer for a few days.
Something was bothering me … How I originally installed it and now I can’t … I tried to reinstall nothing again. Then I searched the internet for help. And I found it.
The “Mini tool partition wizard” application, I started it and the hard disk partitions were reactivated via a copy of my BIOS.
I entered the BIOS activated secure boot and TPM 2.0 I started Windows 10. Since I am Windows Insider 2014, I just activated Dev Chanell and VOILA I installed Windows 11 without any problems. Windows work like charm so far. I only installed Microsoft Edge Canary once but it didn’t work so I sent them feedback. After a week, I also installed Microsoft Edge Canary without any problems.
The applications (Software) that I have work flawlessly. Both after the singing patch (65) and after the second patch (71), and today came the third patch (100). I am very satisfied …
Observations:
Windows11 runs faster than Windows 10
I have a better overview of what is going on in the environment
Applications run seamlessly and much faster than on Windows 10
However, there are problems with the download, but I hope that Microsoft will solve it soon (I think they did it in Microsoft Edge Canary last version 93.
Here is my feedback for you.
Thank you so much. Very helpful.
I would like to hear your opinion:
Intel® Driver & Support Assistant
Message to install this driver:
Intel® Graphics – Windows® DCH Drivers
Is it safe to install on Windows 11 or not
I wish I knew
The new user interface in task bar for things like selecting your network is uncomfortable. I liked having the list of available sites showing in the first click of the mouse. The menu page will take some time for me to get used to but it is cleaner at first glance. I am slowly exploring the system on my ‘second’ PC and doing day to day activities on my tried and true, very familiar Win10 desktop, .
I am happy that Microsoft will be releasing a new version of Windows, by the new look it is wonderful that they are in a way moving off the ‘old’ format frame to something more up to date for the time. Software should be an ever changing application that if not meet but most time go somewhat beyond our working computer systems, which in turn I believe will push companies to build better systems. My hats off to this bold new look, the one problem is, it would be better if the update would be release now, giving users a chance to get to know most functions before school reopen and business that has this slow down at the moment before everything go back to as normal as it can.
i think windows 11 sounds exiting, i’m sorry all good processors before generation 8 is ruled out
Thanks for the feedback.
It’s rubbish, Windows 10 with a new coat and, if I want to use it I have to buy a new computer. What will it do that Windows 10 won’t? I like Windows 10 and it runs very well on my existing Computer. I won’t be buying a new Computer and will use Windows 10 as long as possible. Seems the Microsoft is losing its way !!!
Win 11 looks and works good but TPM is a shit !
Why no TPM?
some or most of us can’t afford a new PC to run the new OS 11. Guess I will have to let my OS 10 run out and switch to Linux. that is a scam to make people buy new systems just Microsoft can make money. If they needed money so bad why not just charge for the upgrade instead of making people go out and spend thousands of dollars on a new machine just to run their software?
A lot of people are complaining about the requirements.
Well they shouldn’t be so tough on them, a lot of past Operating Systems were not like this so shame on Microsoft for doing that, not going to waste money on a new computer if it’s going to be like that, I’ll just stay with Windows 10, still very good OS!
Why does Microsoft make the hardware requirements so strict when other ones were not like that before Windows 11? My PC isn’t that old, only a year or 2, it won’t work for Windows 11, sucks!!
We will see if the requirements really change.
I am excited at the possibility of running Windows 11, but of the 2 powerful PCs to which I have access, neither has a recent enough Intel CPU generation, and the PC Health Check app can’t find their TPM hardware.
Like a lot of people, I am therefore waiting until the situation is clarified before ordering any new hardware, and when I do, I want to be absolutely assured that it will run Windows 11. Surely someone at Microsoft must have noticed that this uncertainty will cause a precipitous drop in PC sales until it is clear what hardware will or will not run Windows 11.
In effect, Microsoft has shot itself in the foot. And not just itself, but the entire OEM industry and distribution network for PCs. This does not seem very bright. The mind boggles at how on Earth this could have been allowed to happen. It is bad enough when competitors attempt to scupper Microsoft (as happened with Windows Phone). It is shocking when Microsoft inflicts damage all by itself.
always hated W10=Vista revisited; been using 7.1 pro with ESU until they update IT properly!!!

At long last, MSoft has available an OS which, after many bug fixes, works well and benefits from frequent security upgrades. More importantly it works on a very significant % of the PCs out there. Now MS, with their existing product having some 5 years of continued future support, has the arrogance to proffer what seems to be an update which will not work on older computers and require anyone with an older happily working computer to spend money on a new uptodate computer just to satisfy MS. And no doubt users will face the usual bug fixing updates discovered, to their cost, by the trusting souls who blindly buy into this nonsense. Totally nuts. I’ll stay with W10, then continue my movement to Linux. Stuff them !
I seriously cannot find a good reason to switch other than maybe for future security reasons. To do the same things in Windows 11, I have to find different ways. The hype about the start icon in the middle is ridiculous, because after addition of other icons, it moves up to the left till it is back in the corner. The task view does not produce the history time-line anymore. Making it more difficult to add and use other web browsers than Edge. Is Microsoft going the same way as Apple? “It is my way or the highway”? Microsoft should have used time and money to keep improving Windows 10 in stead of changing the same things looking different.
