Windows 10 October 2018 Update Releases Date Set?

If you have been wondering about the status of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update, then wonder no more. We have some new intelligence on the release date of this next major version of the OS.

And it’s a stone’s throw away.

Word is that the recently ousted build 17763 is likely to the be the RTM candidate of this update, the build that Microsoft will release to the masses. For starters, this version is now on Xbox, HoloLens as well as the Fast and Slow rings of the Windows Insider preview program.

So, it’s got that going for it.

In addition to that, the ESD images, also known as Electronic Software Delivery, for this build have been discovered that also give an indication on the release date of the October 2018 Update.

And lo and behold, it is October 2.

Handy that Microsoft also has an event planned for that day, which could very well be an indication that the software giant will simply announce the October Update at the event and release it on the same day, even though that is not how the company handled the previous update.

April 2018 Update, that be.

In any case, we should find out what happens in a week or so from now.
