Just what I need! Bang on time! Another Insider preview build is here for your consideration. This time, Windows 11 build 25145 is beaming down from servers, and it packs a few interesting new features.

3 of them.

Of course, this is part of the Sun Valley 3 development branch. Microsoft is now fully focused on developing this next iteration of its operating system, version 23H2, which is due next year. Thanks to some neat additions, it is shaping up as one very streamlined build.

For starters, we have something for Narrator. A new driver solution allows the tool to change things around automatically. This enables Braille devices to continue working while switching between Windows Narrator and third-party screen readers.

The big new highlight is the improved OneDrive subscription management now available in the Settings app.

Build 25145 OneDrive Subscription Card

Similar to those Microsoft 365 subscription management options that Microsoft rolled out in March, this one lets you view billing, payment methods, and OneDrive storage usage for standalone 100GB subscriptions to the cloud storage service.

Build 25145 OneDrive Storage Alert

The page will also notify you if you are close to or above your OneDrive storage limit.

Build 25145 LAPS

Finally, this new build brings the legacy Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS) back to Windows natively. This feature also has some new options, details of which are in the announcement post.

This build also adds plenty of new changes and improvements on top of the usual splattering of bug fixes, which is about the norm these days.

If you are enrolled in the Dev channel of the Windows Insider Program, then be sure to download and install this latest build on your test system and take it for a spin.

Happy downloading!
