Windows 8.1 Build 9431 Sent To Partners For Testing

The preview version of Windows 8.1 is set for unveil tomorrow, but news of a brand new build of the operating system has reached the web earlier today.

It appears that Windows 8.1 build 9431 has been sent to select testers, with word that this could actually be the version that Microsoft plans to release tomorrow during the BUILD developer conference.

This could also the official Milestone Preview build of the operating system, but no concrete way to tell for now as Microsoft is quite on the matter.

Screenshots indeed show a more refined and polished look, and all the expected features seem to be there — from the anticipated return of the Start button to the full array of Metro app and expanded Start screen customization options.

Internet Explorer 11 is also included in this build.

No download link is available at the time of this writing, and the chances of this leaking out are slim considering that just a few hours remain before Redmond will make available the Windows 8.1 Preview version for public.

The public debut of the upcoming operating system is going to be released both as a Windows Store update and a separate downloadable ISO. More information is sure to be provided soon as we get close to the launch of the preview version of the new operating system.
