Windows 8 – better disk partitioning

There has been a lot of discussion about the efficiency of the disk partitioning tool that comes with Windows 7

Windows 7 allows you to create, shrink, expand and delete partitions, but it won’t let you move them, copy them or recover old partitions, and this limits its usefulness.

PCPro have pointed out that it would be nice to have a mode for carrying out advanced operations, or simply to give users the facility to burn a bootable disk management tool that gives access to such features.

Not sure I agree that Windows 8 needs to have all this added in.

The truth is, there are so many disk partitioning tools out there right now, users are spoiled for choice.

I think the ability to create, shrink, expand and delete partitions is enough for the average user.

If you have more hardcore needs than that, you probably know where to get the tools you need.

What do you guys think?
