There are a host of new features that will be introduced in Windows 8.

This post will talk about Windows 8 Problem Steps Recorder

Thanks to Problem Steps Recorder in Windows 7 you can take screenshots and comment on your problem; this way tech support will be able to identify your problem and help you solve it.

Here is what you have to do to use Problem Steps Recorder in Windows 7:

  1. Start (click the Start button on the screen, press the Start key on the keyboard – the one with the Microsoft logo on it) -> in the search box type in psr.exe -> press Enter
  2. Problem Steps recorder will launch. Press Start Record -> go though the steps and recreate your problem.
  3. When you are done, press Stop Record -> select the location where you would like to save the output file -> save the output file (it is saved as a zipped HTML web archive)
  4. Email the output file to tech support or whoever is helping you with your problem. Alternatively you cold just share the file on the network.

It’s a good bet that Windows 8 will have a Problem Steps Recorder.
