How to Launch It
- Invoke the Start Screen by hitting Windows Key.
- Search for the “Calendar” app tile. Clicking it will launch the app.
As an alternative, type “Calendar” on the Start Screen. The app will come up in the search result list. Clicking it will launch the app.
The welcome screen shows month view of the calendar.
Each day is represented by a neat and clean square. Events are highlighted by colored bars in their respective day boxes.
You might want to organize events into separate calendars, depending on the event type. I, for instance, like to keep birthday events in a birthday calendar, leisure events in a leisure calendar, and business events in a business calendar.
Calendar app handles multiple accounts gracefully. The color code for each calendar is different, so that you can differentiate between events of different calendars. Note that each calendar is backed by a mail account from service providers like Google, Microsoft, etc.
Calendar app also lets you create new events. You can store a newly created event in any desired calendar.
The live tiles of Calendar show upcoming events.
Thus, Calendar app tries to remind you of upcoming events whenever you are browsing through the Start Screen.]]>
