Windows Phone 8.1 Install Base Has Now Reached 11.9%

statistics for of July 2014 reveal that Windows Phone 8.1 market share increased by a healthy 4.2% since last month — all thanks to the launch of new smartphones powered by this flavor of the operating system like the Lumia 630, Lumia 635 and the Lumia 930. Interestingly, the Nokia Lumia 530 goes on sale in a number of markets next month, and this pretty much guarantees even more growth. Windows Phone 8 now has 70.4% of the market, down by 4.9% from last month. While the now vintage Windows Phone 7 still accounts for 17.7% of the overall market.
