XOLO Win Q1000 Windows Phone Now On Sale At $135

Yes, this is the same XOLO Win Q1000 that leaked online a couple of months back. The Windows Phone ecosystem got another budget friendly entry in the form of this new handset.

This handset has in the news since December, as you may recall. Priced at around $135 outright, or Rupees 8,499, the Q1000 is the sequel to the Q900 which hit the market late last year.

Shows that the previous device moved some numbers in India, good news for the platform that has traditionally had it tough in many Asian markets. The real forte of Windows Phone is, and remains, Europe, for what it’s worth.

Anyway, XOLO is shipping this dual SIM smartphone with Windows Phone 8.1, and it comes with software like Outlook and Skype preinstalled.

Underneath the 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 720p resolution you will find a quad-core processor in the form of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 with beats at 1.2GHz. A solid 1GB of RAM is paired with 8GB of internal storage.

Along with memory expansion for up to 64GB via the included microSD card.

This midrange smartphone features an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash in the back, while a 2 megapixel option for selfies and videos calls is available on the front side.

The 2,200 mAh battery is rated at up to 500 hours of standby time and 12 hours of talk time.

All said and done, the midrange Windows Phone market is now flowing with options. With the Mobile World Congress 2015 trade fair right up the corner, Microsoft may even announce a few new handsets, though flagship and premium Lumia devices are still only expected later in the year.

Alongside the Windows 10 for Phones operating system.
