Microsoft’s Ad For The Lumia 1020 Focuses On Camera, Watch Here

If you are reading or viewing anything about Nokia’s new flagship smartphone, the Lumia 1020, chances are it will focus on the camera of this particular smartphone. And for good reason too, the 41 megapixel snapper on the back is absolutely exquisite.

The handset is now available for purchase across the United States via AT&T.

Since the smartphone provides a great (pretty much the best) imaging experience overall to all users, Microsoft is keen to highlight this to the world. And Redmond’s elaborate new ad does a pretty great job of conveying the message.

The new video commercial stresses the PureView camera capabilities of the device. Microsoft notes in the video description of the ad that nothing else comes close:

“Meet the Nokia Lumia 1020, with 41 megapixels and reinvented zoom—this is what billions of smartphone camera photographers have been waiting for. Nothing else comes close.”

Big numbers like 1020, 41 and billions have never sounded better in one sentence!

This also is the most expensive Windows Phone 8 device that has been released so far, with AT&T selling the Lumia 1020 for $299.99 with a new two year contract. For this reason the smartphone is said to be off to a bit of a modest start, but these are early days, all things considered.

Both Nokia and Microsoft would be hoping that the camera is enough for users to make the decision.
