Microsoft Puts Up The Official Windows Phone 8 Update 3 Changelog

Want to get your hands on all that is new in Windows Phone 8 Update 3, small and large? Microsoft has just posted the official changelog that confirms the changes in the newest version of its mobile operating system.

The company made it official about a week ago that Windows Phone 8 Update 3 early access was available for developers — this version was previously expected to arrive as the GDR3 release. Anyway, now the update features the OS version numbers 8.0.10501.127 or 8.0.10512.142.

And you can take a look at all the details at the update history page for Windows Phone 8.

Redmond had already announced that Update 3 will be available in the coming weeks, and as is usually the case, the process will take several months to complete — in other words, it will be another staged release across the globe.

The changelog goes over the main features and improvements that Update 3 is set to bring.

Features like enhanced accessibility, storage, driving mode, screen improvements, WiFi, Bluetooth and Internet sharing options, ringtones, an app switcher, and many other are listed. In fact, Microsoft has seemingly decided to hold off a few and not listed them all in the changelog.

Oh, and by the way, owners of Nokia Lumia handsets powered by Windows Phone are also eligible for a few more improvements as part of the Nokia Black update that will go live very soon.
