Take A Look At Some Of The New Windows 8.1 Apps In This Video

Windows 8.1, the anticipated new upgrade to Microsoft’s flagship operating system can be classified into two distinct elements. One is the collection of all the new features and enhancements that the software titan has included, and the other is the assortment of new Metro apps.

From simple one like Alarms (that lets users, well, set up alarms) to advanced offerings like the Movie Moments app (offering users the ability to add effects to their videos), Redmond has bundled them all into its new operating system.

This new clip posted on YouTube shows some of these new apps in action. Before we get any further, take a look at this short (and well-made) video below:

The video provides a nice little overview of several of the new apps included in Windows 8.1 including Windows Scan, along with the Reading List option that allows saving of content for later viewing.

This particular tool can be accessed via the Share Charm, and offers the ability to save specific content like web links, images, and more, which can then be loaded at a later time from the main UI of the app.

And that’s not even the best part.

Microsoft has implemented improved documentation for the latest version of the world’s most popular operating system. The Windows Blue Tips and Tricks section is being designed to help users make the most of Windows 8.1 with plenty of resources available right from the Start Screen.
