The website MicrosoftPortal.Net has started reporting on what MIGHT be the first screenshots of Windows 9 in the wild.
They note that the M1 build kernel has been given a bump to 6.3 (Windows 8 uses kernel 6.2).
In addition, the images are supposedly from Windows 9 build 9319; Windows 8 was build 9200.
This might be a hoax or it might be signs of Project Blue (whatever the hell that is) or it might also be signs of Windows 9 development.
Who the hell knows..

Even in 2012 MS circles mentioned about a Blue upgrade pack for Windows 8, to implement new features, mostly for metro, plus probably under the hood enhancements! Also they planned new customization options, etc…but i do not think in a brand new Windows release of course, more like a 8.1 upgrade (not service pack either, bigger than that)
I think btw that you guys changed the site’s name and address to Windows 9 toooooooooo early. 8 was great.
I heard Win 8 was going through a major upgrade/update and that it would be “finished” the the middle of the year. Maybe it will be called Win 9? I don’t see a complete re-write though.

No way would Microsoft be thinking about releasing a new Windows so soon after Win8, they have only just released it and Win8 tablets, PC’s, laptops and phones and spent millions on advertising and trying to get big companies to upgrade to Win8 not to mention all the developers who have been convinced to jump to Win8 dev. To release a new version of Windows now or within the next 2-3 years would kill Microsoft. Windows 9 aka Windows Blue is like most people have been saying just a big update like service pack to Win8 to add new features, improve speed and code and allow for quicker updates and update more often. All that screenshot shows is that someone likes messing around in Photoshop. If the photo is real then it clearly shows it will be an update to Win8 because it still shows the Win8 logo, mystery solved hehe.
how can anybody Call ot W9 of un both shots it says W8??? It is clearly either a hoax or if real. W “blue”e as an update to W8.

Every build before the Windows Developer Preview where also called “Windows 7”. Microsoft changes the name as soon as the first public release comes.
Not a hoax, this is the Service Pack 1 of Windows 8. Windows 9 is not set for release till 2015 or 2016 and they (MS) have not even started on it yet. My source? My buddy Malcom who is one of the chief coders in the Redmond WA campus of Microsoft.
